The current round of  consultation on the City Deal’s plans to mitigate the effects of Cambridge’s rapid growth closes on Monday 10 October. You can read about these proposals at www.gccitydeal.co.uk/congestion and, if you have not yet submitted your views, you can do so there.

The City Deal Board is a cross party body with representatives from the Labour City Council, Conservative South Cambs Council and Cambridgeshire County Council, which is under no overall control. The board will consider carefully all submissions to the current consultation and then refine or modify their proposals before a further consultation.

The Labour Party welcomes the high level of interest in these plans shown in Newnham and Lewis Herbert, who is both Labour Leader of the City Council and Chair of the cross party City Deal Board, has made clear that all plans remain fluid and will be developed in line with the range of opinions expressed.
